A WEALTH OF EXPERIENCE IN TEXTILES

 

1830

It all started on Oxford High Street in 1830, the beginning of a long-established tradition in fine quality textiles, when Mr William Hine opened his gentlemen’s tailors and outfitters business. This soon became one of the leading outfitters in the city of Oxford, supplying discerning customers, both local and visiting tourists, with high quality clothing from their quintessential English shop.

1950

The business continued the outfitting for several generations, serving an international clientele for over a century. They provided gentlemen’s clothing including hand-tailored bespoke and readymade suits, coats and hats.

The company was transferred to the Robertson family in 1950, in whose care it has remained.

1989

The Robertson family established ‘Oxford Safety Supplies’ to help serve the local community who needed a supplier for Workwear, PPE and Footwear solutions.

1999

Oxford Safety Supplies becomes well known in Oxfordshire and surrounding areas. To meet the demand, we relocate from Oxford to a larger warehouse in Abingdon.

2007

Oxford Safety Supplies expands further and moves to a larger warehouse in Wallingford.

2010

Oxford Safety Supplies becomes well known in the Automotive sector and starts working in partnership with groups and F1 Teams around the country.

2012

Oxford Safety Supplies outgrows the Wallingford Warehouse and relocates to Olympic House, Didcot.

2013

Our customers wanted more bespoke workwear from our factories in Europe, with a stronger need for fashion forward and style as well as functionality. With that in mind, we launched the ‘Enduro’ brand – ensuring a customer’s brand vision is met with the same innovative, comfortable clothes that are as hard-working as they are.

2014

We were pleased to see the 3rd generation of the Robertson family joins the management team as Oxford Safety Supplies continues to grow.

2015

Oxford Safety Supplies introduces an easy-to-use bespoke portal for our clients. This has improved the ordering process and providing the client with live date on spend and orders by Person, Product and Location.

The Enduro-Lite helmet was designed.

2018

The ‘Dextro’ glove is launched.

2020

In 2020, As part of our dedication to our clients, Oxford Safety Supplies introduced a range of automation across all our departments. This included the introduction of a Picking System and Scanning Software for the warehouse and branding teams, which allows us to manage our client’s workwear needs – ensuring that they get the correct uniform whilst improving delivery times. Oxford Safety Supplies now supplying clients in over 60 countries.

2021

Oxford Safety Supplies doubles number of Embroidery machines to help meet customer demands.

2022

Oxford Safety Supplies sees significant growth, and the team doubles in 1 year.

2023

Enduro takes a front-line position and Oxford Safety Supplies rebrands to Enduro / T/A Oxford Safety Supplies.
